Waterston Ministries, which includes Waterston Centre, Waterston House, Kate’s Place and Gemma House, continues to provide services to men, women and young girls as the pandemic eases in our community. Like many other community services, it has been necessary for us to scale down and monitor more closely the services we provide for the protection of those we serve.
The emergency shelter portion of Waterston Centre is in the process of slowly returning to normal capacity as public health measures are eased. These beds can be accessed through direct referral from the Ministry of Social Services, Mobile Crisis or other government agencies. All other remaining residential services at Waterston Ministries are fully operational as we serve those in need of our support.
We remain grateful to all of our staff who have worked so diligently throughout the days of COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of all those who come to use for service and support. We also continue to be grateful to all front-line workers in our community who have helped reduce risk and ensure services remained available through these challenging days.
