Gemma House
Supporting youth
The Salvation Army Gemma House is a home for youth ages 12 to 15 years old. Gemma House supports a person-first practice free of discrimination, offering dignity, respect and recognition of everyone’s worth.
Gemma House serves youth who are in the care of the Ministry of Social Services, with the goals of family reunification and community connection.
Gemma House creates a safe, trauma-informed space for youth to live, learn life skills and receive support as they attend school, counselling and, most importantly, family visits in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Services.
The Salvation Army Gemma House recognizes the youth of today as an opportunity to responsibly manage the resources entrusted to us and empower our communities tomorrow.
