Supporting residents

The Salvation Army’s Supportive Residential Program (SRP) offers a 24-hour residential setting for 15 men living with psychiatric illness, behavioural challenges or substance use issues. The SRP provides a safe, supportive and resource-rich environment for residents, along with case management in collaboration with primary health care and mental health and addiction services.

Using a social and rehabilitative model as an alternative to institutional care, the program works to support long-term housing stability in a comfortable living environment. The Salvation Army Waterston Ministries, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, shares the vision of helping residents maintain stable housing and reducing the risk of homelessness for those who may have difficulty maintaining a dwelling or caring for themselves within one.
